Current Research Interests

  • Processes of exhaustion and recovery
  • Age-related changes in the subjective availability of energy for daily activities across adulthood
  • Multiple goal pursuit

Brief Research Statement

A postdoctoral researcher in the University Research Priority Program “Dynamics of Healthy Aging,” I am interested in the interplay of exhaustion and recovery in different areas of life and throughout adulthood. In my current project I examine age-related changes in the subjective availability of energy for daily activities targeting different functional domains (i.e., physical, mental, social, emotional activities). To answer these and other questions, I use a multi-method approach that includes cross-sectional and longitudinal study designs of correlative and experimental nature.
