Current Research Interests

  • Goal representations
  • Perception of goal-directed actions
  • Self-regulation

Brief Research Statement

As a doctoral student in the project “Development of goal representations across the life-span” I am primarily interested in changes of goal focus. The term goal focus refers to whether a person concentrates on the means by which to achieve a goal or the outcome resulting from goal attainment. The main challenge and aim of this project is to investigate infancy and childhood as well as adulthood. In order to gain an overview of goal representations across the life-span, different methods are included (i.e. eye-tracking during the observation of goal-directed actions).
