Bilex

BILEX is a freely accessible, multilingual language test developed at the University of Zurich. BILEX can be used to assess the receptive vocabulary of children aged two to five in 38 different languages. For multilingual children, vocabulary can be assessed separately for each language and across multiple languages, without transfer effects. In addition, BILEX allows for the calculation of conceptual vocabulary, i.e. an assessment of vocabulary that is understood in one, the other or both languages. BILEX is designed to be playful and can be administered by professionals without knowledge of the languages tested.
