Lynn Alison Büeler, M.Sc.

  • Doctoral student

Lynn Büeler obtained her Masters degree in Psychology at the University of Zurich within the Experimental Psychopathology und Psychotherapy group, where she examined the effect of childhood trauma on resilience and the role of social support within the STRESS study. Her PhD focuses on interpersonal processes in relation to stress and trauma and their real-time measurement in daily life using ecological momentary assessment (EMA). She continues her investigation of data from the STRESS study, and, in addition, coordinates a new study together with Eleonora Fadel. This study investigates social interactions and mechanisms of interpersonal trust in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to bridge a gap between clinical psychology and neuroeconomics. Lynn mainly focuses on the neuroeconomic paradigm measuring trust („trust game“) and the assessment of trust in daily life using EMA.

Moreover, Lynn teaches seminars on stress and trauma and their experimental investigation. In 2025, Lynn co-founded a new peer mentoring group on EMA and joined the organizing committee of „Resilient Minds“, an international journal club series that unites early career researchers in the fields of stress and resilience.
