Tablet-based Pen Tracking Application

This subprobject is dedicated to develop new tablet-based approaches to assess additional qualitative measures of the ROCF test in a more objective and reliable procedure. If the project is successful, this web application will provide healthcare institutions worldwide with a digital tool to assess objectively, reliably and time-efficiently the performance in the ROCF test from hand-drawn images.

We have developed a prototype tablet application, in which the examinee draws the ROCF with a special pen on a tablet. The tablet can a) assess the sequence order of drawing the items, b) record the exact coordinate of each drawn pixel at each time point of the assessment, c) measures the duration for each pen stroke as well as total drawing time, and d) assess the pen stroke pressure. These additional information enable to standardize the qualitative measures.
