How can we capture the true complexity of psychological variability across cultures, time periods, and ecological contexts? Why do traditional measurement approaches miss meaningful cultural differences in values, personality, and mindfulness? What new statistical and computational methods can reveal how human psychology adapts to and emerges from diverse cultural ecologies? These are the questions that drive our research in understanding psychological phenomena as complex, culturally-embedded systems that vary across human societies and throughout history.
