Professorship for Social Psychology and Intergroup Relations
Prof. Dr. Tabea Hässler
Welcome!
At the Professorship for Social Psychology & Intergroup Relations, we aim to understand how social inequalities impact people and identify conditions that foster support for greater social equality, social inlcusion, and health for all people (e.g. in the context of sexual orientation, gender identity, variation in sex characteristics, migration background, religious affiliation, disability and socio-economic class). Our research employs an intersectional and interdisciplinary perspective, utilizes participatory methods, and adopts a multimethod approach. Committed to collaborative global research, we work with over 100 scholars and key institutions from all continents. A central goal of our work is to promote social justice, inclusion, well-being, and good health both within and beyond academia. To achieve this, we address systemic barriers within science, collaborate with relevant communities and key stakeholders, and strive to disseminate our findings to a broad audience.
