For our study programs in Psychology, which are both only offered in German, it is mandatory to speak German with a C1 level of language proficiency.

Classes and examinations for the Bachelor and Master programs are predominantly held in German. Therefore, in-depth information is to be found on our German website

Psychological disciplines

Disciplines & Chairs

Psychology as an empiric science, i.e. based on experiment and evidence, can neither be attributed solely to humanities, nor to social or natural sciences. It rather combines different fields of study. Therefore, the Department of Psychology provides a multitude of psychological disciplines throughout its approx. 21 chairs. more


Bachelor

Bachelor of Science in Psychology Program

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology program aims to convey basic understanding of different psychological areas and to train the ability of methodical and scientifical thinking. more

 

 


Master

Master of Science in Psychology Program

The Master of Science in Psychology program builds on the Bachelor program, but in contrast to the latter, it qualifies for a respectable occupation as psychologist or for participating in continuing education as well as in a PhD program. more
