Brief Research Statement

Procrastination is a highly prevalent phenomenon and may result in harmful consequences. Accordingly, there has been a great deal of research on how to overcome procrastination. The question “how to beat procrastination?”, however, I argue, always implies the question “why do we do what we do instead?”. This question in turn can only be addressed knowing what we do instead and how we feel about it. My research focuses on the role of goal focus (process vs. outcome focus) when trying to answer these questions.
