Research Internships at Our Chair

The Chair for Psychopathology and Clinical Intervention at the Department of Psychology regularly offers research internships.

According to the capacities at the time of the placement, internships in our unit can be done in the following fields of research:

  • Traumatic stress studies
  • Psychological factors and psychotherapy in early dementia
  • Intra- and interpersonal processes of emotion regulation
  • Cultural Clinical Psychology
  • E-Mental Health

Usually, we will contact you within two weeks after receiving your application.

To apply for an internship with us, you should meet the following requirements:

  • You should be a student in a relevant field of study
    (usually psychology or medicine) In the case of substantiated reasons and interests - and in agreement with your potential internship supervisor – adjacent fields such as biology or special education can also be considered
  • Good software skills in MS-Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and in the most common statistical programs (SPSS, R). These are essential for most of the steps in the working process (from the realisation of the study to the data analysis)
  • Good German language skills (German is our operating language and mostly used for communication with local contacts)

Due to the limited time, there are generally not enough opportunities to acquire such qualifications during the internship.

The minimum duration of an internship at our chair is 6 weeks.

There will be no salary or financial compensation for an internship.
