We were pleased to welcome over 70 attendees to the 40^th Motivational Psychology Colloquium (MPK), which took place from 28-30th October 2021 at the University of Zurich.

The conference was organized by the Chair of Motivation, Volition, and Emotion (Dr. Katharina Bernecker & Prof. Dr. Veronika Brandstätter), with parts of the program being organized and sponsored by the Institut für Selbstmanagement und Motivation Zürich (ISMZ GmbH, Dr. Maja Storch & Dr. Julia Weber). Further, were very happy that we could win Prof. Dr. Alexandra Freund, Chair of Developmental Psychology: Adulthood, University of Zurich, as keynote speaker.

Thanks to all attendees for their inspiring presentations and we are looking forward to next year's colloquium in Osnabrück, Germany.
