Gastvortrag von Lewis Nitschinsk (University of Queensland):

"What proportion of people “show” the contact effect?"

23.09.2025 15:00-15:45 BIN 3.D.27

Abstract:

The contact hypothesis proposes that positive intergroup encounters can improve attitudes between groups. Yet, recent large-scale longitudinal studies suggest that changes in naturally occurring contact do not reliably predict changes in prejudice. One possible reason is that everyday contact may only “work” for some people. In this talk, I will share research examining what proportion of people report simultaneous increases in intergroup contact and warmth over time.

Everyone is cordially invited!
