Psychotherapy Outpatient Center

The Psychotherapy Outpatient Center at the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy Research (Director: Prof. Dr. Birgit Watzke) offers psychological help for individuals who are suffering from a mental disorder or other psychological problems and mental health conditions, or find themselves in a psychologically distressful life situation.

Our service includes:

  • Diagnostics, clinical clarification and counseling
  • Decision aid, i.e. if and which treatment should be uptaken
  • Psychotherapy

Treatment at the Center is limited to mental disorders in adults. We are following an integrated approach using evidence-based interventions that are primarily grounded in the principles of cognitive behavior therapy.

Do I need treatment?) you can call us to make an appointment for an initial interview, or you can come to our weekly WALK-IN service where we offer at fix office hours brief individual counseling—no appointment needed, confidential, and without obligation.
